Keeping up with your fast paced lifestyle, we have made this pre-mix that you can use for instantly preparing our traditional Semiya Upma. We have added all the right ingredients in the right proportion - you need not add anything else, other than water.
When we have little time, or do not have the mood to cook, or when we are traveling, we would love this product, prepared with no-compromise, to provide you the convenience of home food.
Ingredients
Vermicelli, Sunflower Oil, Bengal Gram, Urad Dal, Salt, Green Chilli, Mustard, Curry Leaves, Ginger, Asafoetida

How to Use
Method 1 (Serves 2)
- Heat 4 portions of water to full boil with lots of bubbles.
- Add 1 portion of Balali's Vishalam Instant Semiya Upma Mix
- Stir well until the mix is well cooked - 7 to 8 minutes
- You can use fresh coriander leaves to garnish, if required.
Method 2 (Microwave) (Serves 2)
- Heat 3 portions of water in a stove and bring it to full boil with lots of bubbles.
- Add 1 portion of Balali's Vishalam Instant Semiya Upma Mix in a microwave bowl and stir well.
- Keep aside the mixture for 5 minutes with closed lid.
- Keep the bowl in Microwave for 5 to 7 minutes (as per the capacity of your microwave), or until cooked.
- Keep checking if the microwave has cooked our mixture by periodically taking out and mixing well.
- You can use fresh coriander leaves to garnish, if required.
Method 3
- Take 1 cup of onions and other vegetables like potato, carrot, peas, beans etc and saute them in 2 spoons of oil and cook well.
- Once cooked, add 5 portions of and bring it to full boil with lots of bubbles.
- Add 1 portion of Balali's Vishalam Instant Semiya Upma Mix
- Stir well until the mix is well cooked - ~10 minutes. Add additional salt to taste for the added vegetables
- You can use fresh coriander leaves to garnish, if required.
