Elai Vadam or Thalir Vadam is a traditional dry condiment prepared by our grandmothers with Rice as the basic ingredient and with Omam. Traditionally, they used banana leaf to cook the vadam, but today we have used only small plates and steam the vadams and sun dry them hygenically.
We have kept the size of this vadam small (half of typical appalam size), so that it is easy to fry.
A very tasty accompaniment that goes well with your rice dishes, or just eat it as a snack.
