Kaapu Arisi is a traditional sweet dish prepared in some communities like Tamil Brahmins on certain occasions like the 7th day or 11th day after child-birth, for distribution to ladies who attend the function. It is also prepared and distributed on the occasion of ear-piercing or nose-piercing ceremonies in some communities.
Kaapu Arisi is prepared with Rice and Jaggery with a crispy texture and with coconuts, roasted gram and other nuts.
